monday february 13th-

the day starts off with the sun in aquarius parallel to mercury at the last degree of aquarius (exact at 8:10am), creating an energetic conjunction between the conscious self and ego and the mind and intellect.  these two aspected each other by degree last week (tuesday the 7th) and today they do so by declination- making this a super aspect that lasts a week long.  insights, aha moments, sudden clarity and important communications are a week long thing- so pay attention to things heard, said or intuited over the last week and throughout today.  with aquarius highlighted the insights likely have to do with the change, liberation and/or evolution your Soul (and the world Soul!) desires.

at 10:44am mercury at the last degree of aquarius trines retrograde saturn at the last degree of libra, harmoniously aligning the conscious mind and intellect with the planet of responsibility, stability and karma.  we can have significant, serious conversations today that are focused on reality, what is and what needs to happen.  with saturn recently turned retrograde he is more potent than usual.  communications around karma in relationships or financial situations can occur today- be real, in your integrity and honest.

then at 5:38pm mercury moves into pisces, shifting the conscious mind and intellect from air to water, intellect to emotion, mind to Soul.  with mercury in pisces we can expect our intuition, psychic ability and emotional intelligence to be heightened.  this is a very creative, romantic and spiritual placement for mercury- harnessing a deep connection to the Unconscious.

the last aspect of the day occurs at 10:47pm when mercury cojoins neptune, newly in pisces, making this the first aspect of mercury in his new sign as well as the first aspect of neptune in his new sign :)  this is the epitome of inspiration, Divine communication and idealistic thinking.  mercury in pisces already has enhanced intuitive and psychic gifts- but with neptune in pisces aligned it's amplified tenfold!  pay attention to your hunches/thoughts/dreams/fantasies today.  they are quite fertile!

 

tuesday february 14th-

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!  as i said in my recent astrology blog- v-day is likely to be very intense.  venus, the goddess of Love and beauty that rules lover's day has been in tense aspect to uranus and pluto all week long.  her aspect to pluto is exact tomorrow- and there is other pluto energy today.  so BE AWARE.  pluto can be channelled into passion or it can be channelled into violence.  do your best to not get caught up in unconscious behavior!   read on for more about today...

at 9:34am pluto in capricorn squares ceres in aries, creating tension and dynamism between the lord of the underworld and the asteroid goddess governing nurturing, caretaking and agriculture.  this is an intense aspect that is likely to unearth all kinds of shadow when it comes to family relationships as well as the food supply (monsanto anyone?).  this aspect occurs minutes away from the exact placement that uranus and pluto will be when they perfect their first square on 6/24- so the radical changes the world is going to experience collectively as well as personally definitely has to do with the family dynamic, how we caretake others to the point of codependence and how we treat/mistreat/modify our food.

the only other aspect today (and one of the most most positive of the week!) occurs at 5:40pm when jupiter in taurus sextiles chiron in pisces, aligning the planet of expansion, abundance and growth with the planetoid of healing, awareness and consciousness.  this aspect has been in effect since jupiter first entered taurus last june (it has happened twice- 7/2/2011 and 12/6/2011) and today is the last one has jupiter speeds ahead in taurus.  this has positive implications for spiritual growth, awareness, healing and expansion of consciousness- personally and collectively.  it's a great day to perform spiritual ceremony, get healing, give healing or just be Love :)

 

wednesday february 15th-

today is a big mercury day- as mercury makes 4 aspects throughout the day.  mercury, newly in pisces, semisextiles uranus in aries at 1:25am, contraparallels jupiter in taurus at 3:12am, parallels neptune in pisces at 11:53am and squares juno in sagittarius at 4:04pm.  communication is the order of the day!  particularly in the early morning hours- pay attention to your dreams for important insights and messages coming through from beyond.  bolt out of the blue awareness and sudden clarity on situations that have eluded or confused you are possible this morning.  the mercury/neptune aspect echoes the aspect these two made by degree on monday- making a super aspect between these two last the first part of the week.  intuition and psychic ability is high right now!  so, too, are creative inspiration and romantic inclinations ;)   with mercury square juno communication about partnership and commitment is likely to come up.  getting clear on our boundaries, needs and where we will and won't compromise is key.  don't be so idealistic that you aren't seeing reality as it is!

there are several other aspects today- making it quite a busy day astrologically speaking!  at 10:32am venus in aries squares pluto in capricorn, creating tension and friction between the goddess of Love and beauty and the lord of the underworld!  when venus enter aries the middle of last week and cojoined uranus last thursday (9th) she began her activation of the uranus/pluto square (see my recent astrology blogs on the implications of this personally and collectively).  today the shadow is likely to come up to be dealt with in Love and money situations.  the positive side is that transformation can occur once we acknowledge all that is.  death precedes rebirth, change creates evolution.  radical changes to the structure of relationships and financial situations is up right now BIG TIME!  let go, and let Goddess!

then at 4:42pm retrograde mars in virgo sesquiquadrates jupiter in taurus- amplifying mars feistiness and perhaps aggression.  positively jupiter can support mars in self-inquiry, self-adjustments and getting clear and in order in his inner and outer life.  the shadow side is that jupiter can exacerbate things and not know when to draw the line or create a boundary- so things can get out of hand.  watch out for being overly judgmental, perfectionist, obsessive or in the mind too much.

 

thursday february 16th-

the day starts off with mercury conjunct chiron in pisces at 6:14am, aligning the conscious mind and intellect with the wounded healer.  positively this can be a time of healing communication with others.  we can share our wounds and let others do the same and find a space of mutual support.  yet the shadow side is that our words can wound, rather than heal, especially if we are attached to playing out the dramas and pain of the past.  pay attention to your dreams and intuition right now.  they are likely to be potent.

at 8:07am mercury in pisces sextiles jupiter in taurus, bringing and expansive, abundant and growth-oriented quality to our communication right now.  writing, speaking and teaching are supported- finding practical ways to relay the spiritual/romantic/creative inspiration in our hearts is possible now.

the day ends with the sun in aquarius contraparallel jupiter in taurus at 9:00pm, creating an energetic opposition between the conscious self and ego and the planet of expansion, abundance and optimism.  positively we can feel confident and high on life right now!  the world is our oyster :)   yet the oppositional energy from jupiter can also cause us to overdo things and take on too much.  self-aggrandizement and lack of humility and healthy boundaries/limitiations can have dire consequences.  don't over do it!

 

friday february 17th-

at 11:11am venus in aries trines the north node in sagittarius, harmoniously aligning the goddess of Love and beauty with the evolutionary north node of destiny and growth.  in relationships a door can open up to Higher partnership/communion and in finances a new way of relating to/dealing with money is possible.  remember, venus is the sign uranus is in and she just finished getting activated by the uranus/pluto square.  change is in the air- and change is a precursor to evolution.  look to see where you are being asked to shift gears and move into a Higher way of being, romantically, financially and otherwise- and then do it!

at 6:50pm mercury in pisces parallels juno in sagittarius, energetically aligning the mind with the partnership and commitment asteroid.  this echoes the aspect these two made by degree on tuesday- making this is a super aspect that last throughout the middle of the week.  communication about relationship and commitment is up this week!  we need to get clear on our boundaries and our needs and express them with honesty and integrity.  with both bodies in mutable signs change and transition is highlighted.  this can involve endings or just a major shifting into a new paradigm- either way the old is so passe!

the last aspect of the day occurs at 11:51pm when venus in aries contraparallels chiron in pisces, creating an energetic opposition between the goddess of Love and beauty and wounded healer.  old wounds, pain, suffering and fears of rejection can arise in relationships and financial situations today.  a sense of not being good enough or not having enough can come up.  if so there is an opportunity to go into the wound and see where the limiting belief that is contributing to it came from- likely from childhood or even past lives.  positively we can experience a deep healing of the heart right now if we take a risk and open ourselves up to our own pain.  the only way out is through...

 

saturday february 18th-

the day starts off with the sun in aquarius parallel neptune in pisces at 12:32am, energetically aligning the conscious self and ego with the planet of mysticism and illusion.  the sun and neptune will aspect by degree on sunday- so the entire weekend is colored with a super aspect between these two.  with the ego aligned with the dissolver of ego we are supported in pursuing things of a spiritual nature.  bliss, meditation, merging with one's Beloved and/or the Divine are all possible this weekend!  but we have to watch out for the shadow side of these two- the tendency to believe in illusions, delusion, deception, addiction and not seeing reality.  intuition and psychic capacity are high right now- so tune into your dreams and your 6th sense and open up to the Beyond.

then at 8:02am the sun in aquarius trines retrograde saturn in libra, aligning the conscious self and ego with the planet of structure, discipline and reality.  today we are supported in dealing with what is and focusing on what needs to be done.  this is a very grounding aspect, despite the fact that it is in air signs.  important and serious communication regarding friendships/relationships can arise today.

at 1:23pm mercruy in pisces sextiles pluto in capricorn, harmoniously aligning the conscious mind and intellect with the lord of the underworld.  today we are supported in going deep and penetrating beyond the facade to get to the Truth.  investigation, self-inquiry, psychology and research are ideal today.

the last celestial occurrence of the day happens at 10:18pm when the sun moves into pisces, shifting the conscious self and ego from airy aquarius to water, from intellect to emotion, from thinking to feeling.  over the coming month as the sun transits pisces we are supported in delving into the Unconscious, experiencing the mystical and transcendental, connecting to our Higher Heart and serving/helping others.  we need to be aware of the shadow side of pisces though:  a tendency to illusion, confusion, delusion, deception, addiction and denial.

 

sunday february 19th-

at 8:10am mercury in pisces parallels retrograde saturn in libra, energetically aligning the mind with the planet of responsibility and karma.  serious communication and thinking is likely to happen this morning.  dealing with reality is not mercury in pisces' idea of a good time.  especially with all the neptune/pisces energy this weekend- saturn's cold, hard look at reality can feel like cold water on the face (or even a slap on the face!).  but deal with reality we must!  with saturn and neptune/pisces it's always about a balance.  go too far in either direction and you are in trouble!  pay attention to your thoughts and communication had this morning- and think long term and realistic.

at 12:41pm the sun cojoins neptune in pisces, amplifying and at times exacerbating the pisces energy today!  positively this is a great day to focus on the spiritual, mystical and idealistic aspects of life.  on the shadow side we can tend to wear rose colored glasses and not see, or completely avoid seeing, reality altogether.

then at 3:36pm mercury in pisces squares the nodes (north in sadge, south in gemini) and highlighting conversation, communication and thinking that brings us to a crossroads.  mercury rules the south node- so there is a tendency to get stuck in old karmic patterns of communication and thinking.  we need to fight the urge to repeat the past!  pay attention to insights/dreams/intuition and messages from the most random of places.

the day ends with mercury in pisces contraparallel retrograde mars in virgo exact at 6:16pm- creating an energetic opposition between the mind and the will.  next thursday (the 23rd) these two will oppose each other by degree- so between now and then we have a super aspect in effect.  positively this aspect can helps us to speak our Truth, express our anger and take a stand!  on the shadow side this aspect can incite arguments, violent communication and a take no prisoners kind of communication that is likely to get nowhere fast.  be aware that tempers are high right now and patience is short.  if you have been stuffing your Truth now may be the time to say it!  but if all you have been doing is spewing off your fire and anger you may do best to find other, healthier outlets so you don't go burning bridges.
