monday february 6th-

the week starts off with both the sun and mercury in aquarius (closely conjunct, exact tomorrow) semisquare uranus in aries (2:04am and 12:02pm respectively)- creating tension and friction between the conscious ego and mind and the planet of awakening, rebellion and sudden change.  uranus currently rules the sun and mercury (they are in uranus' sign) so there is an affinity between these two, yet the aspect is tense.  we may think we know what is going on consciously, and then uranus comes around to shake up our world and let us see what is REALLY going on.  with aquarius highlighted our ego prefers to be detached and intellectual about things, but uranus is in the firey, assertive sign of aries so passion and intensity is heightened!  expect the unexpected today.  and pay attention to what you hear and/or say- insights abound out of the most unassuming of places.

 

tuesday february 7th-

the day starts off with the sun cojunct mercury in aquarius at 1:02am, aligning the conscious self and ego with the conscious mind and intellect.  insights, aha moments and important communications that bring things to Light can happen today.  with aquarius highlighted our focus on evolution, change and bucking the system is supported!  since this aspect occurs in the middle of the night pay attention to your dreams upon waking for insights and messages from beyond.

then at 6:04am saturn stations retrograde at the last degree of libra, shifting the focus of the planet of discipline, responsibility and karma inwards.  with saturn in the sign of partnership, relationship issues/karma/lessons are definitely a theme right now.  with the 29th degree highlighted there is a completion process occurring.  we are being asked to finally GET IT when it comes to certain relationship and/or financial dynamics.  saturn is the planet of reality- if we are getting real and attending to what is we will be supported/rewarded.  if we are not we can feel as though nothing is happening, we can feel stuck, depressed or despondent.  all things shall pass, but use the coming months of saturn retrograde to focus on what needs to structurally change on the inner levels and then DO IT.

the full moon in leo occurs at 1:54pm PST.  with the conscious self (sun in aquarius) opposite the unconscious (moon in leo) we have the opportunity to see the disparity between polarities and find a bridge to Union.  the sun is conjunct mercury bringing insights and aha moments galore.  both the sun and moon (as well as mercury and venus) are tensely aspecting uranus- the great awakener, rebel and a bringer of change.  change is in the making- there is no stopping it!  the personal needs to give way to the collective/Higher Intelligence.  the degree to which we resist is the degree to which we will experience intensity/depression/frustration right now.  we need to get on board with our Higher Selves and make the changes that are for the good of all (personally, collectively).  the pitting of the collective (aquarius) opposite the individual (leo) can bring up our ego's resistance to the changes that are being made.  let go and let god/dess :)  for more in-depth info on this full moon check the lunar insight posted a few days before the full moon.

at 12:00pm venus at the last degree of pisces quincunxes retrograde saturn at the last degree of libra, bringing tension and a need for adjustment between the goddess of Love and beauty and the god of karma and responsibility.  relationship and financial situations can feel the pressure right now.  there is a restructuring from the ground up that is necessary for things to get back into integrity.  venus in pisces can be overly idealistic and accepting, at times even going into denial or avoidance so as not to deal with reality.  saturn is all about reality- and with saturn in venus' sign there is a focus on reality when it comes to venusian themes (relationship, finances, values, self-worth).  we are being asked to get clear on our boundaries and then set them- firmly, in integrity, with no compromises.  when the 29th degree is highlighted there is something of a completion energy playing out- especially 29 pisces which is the last sign of the entire zodiac.  we have come full circle and we are being asked to step up, let go and truly evolve past our old karmas.  are you ready???

venus moves into aries at 10:01pm, shifting the goddess of Love and beauty's focus from mystical, watery and emotional pisces to firey, assertive and dynamic aries.  with venus moving over the aries point (0 aries) there are likely to be significant dynamics playing out on the world stage.  over the next week venus will trigger the uranus/pluto square (set to be exact the first time on 6/24)- so we can expect fireworks, intensity and dramatic change to occur in relationships and financial situations.  tap into your warrior spirit- and stand up for yourself and your needs, but allow others to do the same ;)

the day ends with uranus in aries trine juno in sagittarius, harmoniously aligning the god of freedom with the asteroid goddess of partnership and commitment.  with these two teamed up we can find an opening in our relationships.  this can come by way of opportunities to evolve and shift the old paradigm in significant partnerships, or it can come by way of releasing relationships that no longer serve.  either way partnership as we know it needs to change- or it will die.  check out my article 'the new paradigm of partnership' under the 'writings' tab on my website for more info on what is possible when the concept of relationship evolves.

 

wednesday february 8th-

the day starts off with venus at the first degree of aries semisextile neptune at the first degree of pisces- exact at 1:29am.  venus just exited the watery realms of pisces yesterday, but with her aspect to neptune today she still has some of the neptunian romance, fantasy and reverie about her.  positively our relationships can have an idealistic and optimistic tinge to them.  after the tense aspects involving venus yesterday, today we can see the silver lining and still find connection to our open hearts.  with venus in the first sign of the zodiac and neptune in the last we can find a bridge between the past and the future, masculine and feminine, inner and outer.  it's all about a balance of assertiveness and surrender, defining boundaries and compromising, holding on and letting go.

the only other aspect occurs at 11:09pm when mercury in aquarius quincunxes retrograde mars in virgo, creating tension with a need for adjustment between the conscious mind and intellect and the will and drive.  positively we can use this energy to speak up, share our ideas/feelings and express our anger.  but we have to beware of the tendency to arguments and conflictual or even violent communication.  we need to find ways to speak our Truth but not beat others over the head with it.  we also have to hold space for others to do the same.

 

thursday february 9th-

the highlight of the day (and week!) involves a super aspect between venus and uranus- venus parallels uranus at 5:15am and cojoins uranus at 6:29pm.  with the goddess of Love and beauty aligning with the rebel, great awakener and revolutionary by degree AND declination we have a super aspect that lasts all day long.  in relationships and financial situations expect the unexpected today!  positively this energy can bring new life into things that were getting old and stagnant, but it is quite possible that the new life we seek is predicated on change/endings/letting go of situations/people/relationships that inhibit us and hold us back.  the Goddess in the sign of the warrior is not interested in overcompromising or surrendering- she is ready to take action, say no, state boundaries and express her anger!  channel her well.

 

friday february 10th-

the day starts off with venus in aries trine to juno in sagittarius at 1:18am, harmoniously aligning the two goddesses that represent the feminine and that govern relationships.  with these two synced up we are supported in finding balance in our connection with the Divine Feminine within and without.  in relationships we are supported in expressing our desires and needs in partnership (romantic, business and otherwise) in clear and honest ways.  with the fire signs highlighted it is our Spirit, creativity and passion that will buoy our spirits today!  pay attention to your dreams upon waking for important messages from the Divine Feminine within you :)

then at 3:30am the sun in aquarius quincunxes retrograde mars in virgo, creating tension and a need for adjustment between the ego and the will.  with both masculine planets in tense aspect we can find that our masculine energies (or the male in relationship) is out of balance.  when the ego and will face off there tends to be little to no room for our Higher Selves to get a word in edgewise!  ego conflicts can arise and getting overattached to our position or need to in control can get us into trouble.  again, pay attention to your dreams upon waking for important messages from the Divine Masculine within you.

the only other aspect today occurs at 5:46am when mercury in aquarius semisquares pluto in capricorn, creating tension between the mind and intellect and the lord of the underworld.  positively this aspect can help us to dig deep and look beyond the surface of things (especially ourselves!) to get to the Truth.  deep self-inquiry and facing the shadow is supported right now.  on the not-so positive side though there can be a degree of intensity in communication with a need for someone (another, ourselves?) to control or manipulate another.  stay out of these dynamics if you can- and if you see them in another call them on it and disengage.  all of the above aspects occur in the early morning hours- so pay attention to you dreams!  messages that your Higher Self cannot get through to you during waking time will often come through dreamtime ;)

 

saturday february 11th-

at 3:15am jupiter in taurus contraparallels neptune in pisces, creating an energetic opposition between the planet of expansion, abundance and growth and the planet of spirituality, mysticism and illusion.  both jupiter and neptune relate to spiritual and idealistic pursuits- so this opposition by declination can enhance and/or exacerbate those tendencies.  positively the desire to grow, learn, share, Love and help others is high!  on the shadow side though there can be a tendency to avoid reality, deny the shadow and/or do things to forget about it (i.e. indulge in addictions).  this aspect occurs in the early morning hours so pay attention to your dreams upon waking for messages from the Unconscious.

then at 8:34am venus in aries semisextiles jupiter in taurus, harmoniously aligning the Goddess of Love and beauty with the lord of growth, expansion and optimism.  these two planets are termed the 'greater benefics' and are known to bring us rewards and benefits of many different kinds (spiritual, material, relationship, etc...)  when they are in harmonious aspect we have a heightened interest in enjoying the good life- especially with jupiter in sensual taurus.  with both bodies in the first two signs of the zodiac there is a focus on me, my needs and my wants.  beware of overdoing it though- both venus and jupiter aren't so great with limitation ;)

the only other aspect today involves venus in aries' semisextile to chiron in pisces at 2:35pm, harmoniously aligning the Goddess with the wounded healer.  positively in relationships and financial situations we have opportunities to do deep healing work and let go of the past.  with venus in the first sign of the zodiac and chiron in the last we are also supported in bridging the gap between the past and the future, the old and the new.  venus is at the midpoint of jupiter and chiron (who aspected each other exactly last week)- so look to where aries is in your chart to see where you are being supported in healing, growing and releasing the past!

 

sunday february 12th-

the only aspect today occurs at 5:22pm when the sun in aquarius semisquares pluto in capricorn, creating tension and friction between the ego and the Higher Will.  positively this intense energy can be used to engage in shadow work and ultimately in transformation.  on the shadow side we can find ourselves involved in power/control dynamics with others.  there is a need to see the not-too-pretty reality in certain situations- avoiding it will no longer work.  but staying stuck in negativity and suspicion won't do either.  take this opportunity to dig deep and see your own shadow- and give others the opportunity to follow suit (but don't force them!!!).
