the only major aspect today involves ceres in aries trine the north node in sagittarius at 1:06am. with the asteroid goddess of mothering, nurturing and security trine the evolutionary north node we are support in growing and evolving our most intimate family and security-based connections. recently ceres was activated by the uranus/pluto square- so there are definitely changes brewing in our home life, family life and personal sense of security and stability. the energy of aries is getting activated- so the need for freedom, independence, personal responsibility and taking a stand is definitely up for people right now! the best use of this energy is to get centered in yourSelf, know your needs and desires and assert them with consciousness, rather than conflict and violence. pay attention to your dreams upon waking for important messages from the Unconscious about where you need more freedom and independence in your life.
tuesday february 21st-
the day starts off with venus in aries semisquare to neptune in pisces at 9:20am, creating a tense aspect between the lover and the mystic. positively we can feel an enhanced sense of beauty, romance and creativity permeating our life. on the shadow side though, there can be a tendency to see what we want to see, idealize, avoid reality and be in denial about the shadow dynamics playing out in our relationships and financial situations. finding balance between seeing what can be and seeing what is, surrendering and asserting oneself, giving and receiving- is key.
at 12:36pm mercury in pisces sesquiquadrates retrograde saturn at 29 libra creating a sense of constriction, restriction and perhaps limitation when it comes to communication and thinking. typically mercury in pisces is very intuitive and can always see the silver lining in a cloud, but with the tense aspect from saturn at the critical 29th degree what we may only be aware of right now is what is wrong, broken and/or not working in Love and money situations. positively this aspect can help us get real- but the shadow side can be pessimistic thinking and depression. again, we need to find a balance between what is and what can be- attending to either in an extreme way will cause imbalance and issues in our life right now.

at 3:58pm the sun in pisces semisextiles uranus in aries, creating a harmonious connection between the conscious self and ego and the great awakener! with these two bodies occupying the first and last signs of the zodiac we have the energy of the ouroboros present- the snake whose head eats his tail which symbolizes infinity and the meeting point of alpha and omega. today we can come to sudden realization of our past and how it has created our present and how if we stay on that same track it will continue to create our future in the same manner. as such we can see if we like where we are or where we have been, and if not we can make some radical changes today that gets us on a different track! life is about a balance- of yin and yang, within and without, surrender and action, giving and receiving, dissolution and defining. finding a balance today in our lives is supported by the uranus- the planet of evolution and change!

the day starts off with retrograde mars in virgo contraparallel retrograde saturn at the last degree of libra- occurring just a minute after midnight (12:01am)! this energetic opposition between the will and drive and the lord of karma/father of time can be intense. our egos have an idea of what we should be doing, but our path of karma, responsibility and Self-mastery may have a completely different agenda. feeling inhibited in our action, our Masculine energy or our ability to be efficient and organized in our lives is likely to come up. sit tight because saturn will pass. with the 29th degree highlighted there are major lessons up for people right now in regards to money, relationships and self-value that are deep, karmic, with ancient ties to the past. focus your powers of perception within to see what needs to shift or change within in order for circumstances to shift or change without.
the only other aspect today occurs at 8:25pm when venus in aries quincunxes retrograde mars in virgo, creating tension and friction between the Feminine and the Masculine. positively this can be creative, romantic, dynamic and fertile! it can also be shadowy, conflictual, destructive and way too intense. mars is under fire today- with the tense saturn aspect and then the tense aspect with his Beloved. the Masculine within us and without is being asked to restructure himself in someway. figure out what this is for you and then do it. let others see you lead the way and choose to follow, if they are ready.

at 3:25am mercury in pisces opposes retrograde mars in virgo, creating an oppositional energy between the mind and the will. this intense dynamic is likely to create some heated discussions with others! the mind is wrapped up with the ego and is likely to take personal issue with anything coming at it as a perceived threat (whether it is true or not!). mercury in pisces wants to be in Bliss but mars in virgo wants to analyze, organize, get efficient and cut the crap. being overly mars in virgo can cause us to be judgmental and hard ourselves and others. being overly mercury in pisces can cause us to be in denial and avoidance of dealing with reality. either extreme is unhealthy and can cause issues today. positively- if you have something to say, some Truth to speak or some anger to express- today is your day! ;)
at 12:54pm the sun in pisces parallels juno in sagittarius and then at 5:37pm the sun squares juno- creating a super aspect between the conscious self and ego and the asteroid goddess governing commitment and marriage. today definitely has a focus on our partnerships- romantic, business and otherwise. any issues in relationship that are not being addressed, looked at or dealt with can come up BIG TIME today. with mutable signs highlighted change is in the air- so getting on board with those changes and even initiating them yourself is much better than being dragged into the future by them. get clear on what they are today and start making them!

the day kicks off with a dynamic conjunction between the sun and chiron in pisces, exact at 1:06am. themes of healing, awareness and consciousness are present today- but so, too, are themes of wounding, pain, rejection and deep grief. with this conjunction occurring in pisces our personal Unconscious and the collective Unconscious is activated. everything is contained in the Unconscious but it tends to be the things we avoid dealing with or looking at that are likely to come to the surface when it gets activated. this aspect occurs in the early morning hours so pay attention to your dreams for important messages from your Higher Self.
the only other aspect today occurs at 5:32pm when mercury in pisces parallels chiron in pisces, creating an energetic alignment between the mind and the wounded healer. this aspect supports speaking from the heart about our old wounds, pain and suffering. it also is supportive of us becoming conscious of where the roots to those wounds, pain and suffering lie so that we can heal them. pay attention to communication and thoughts had today- insight comes from the most random of places!

the day starts off with the sun in pisces sextile jupiter in taurus at 2:33am, bringing a sense of expansion, abundance and opportunity to our conscious selves and egos! this is a great aspect that confers optimism and courage- and it can help us move forward and have faith despite any difficulties that are on our path.
at 3:39am the sun in pisces contraparallels retrograde mars in virgo, creating an energetic opposition between the ego and the will. this can be quite dynamic and intense- or it can be a focusing of our Masculine energies. with pisces and virgo activated we are trying to find a balance between dissolution and definition, seeing the All and seeing the individual pieces. positively this aspect can support us in taking conscious action in our lives- but on the shadow side it can bring up anger, aggression and impulsivity.

at 9:30am venus in aries semisquares chiron in pisces, bringing up old wounds and pain in Love and money situations. this is a tense aspect that asks that we deal with deep feelings of rejection, grief and disappointment in respect to our relationships and financial situations. venus in aries just wants to take action and/or move on, while chiron in pisces is dreging up some of the most painful memories and experiences for us to deal with rather than run from. this is definitely a theme this week- so if we can take the opportunity to do the deep healing work that is up for us now we can find an opening/freeing up of energy as a result.
mercury in pisces semisquares jupiter in taurus at 10:56am, creating tension between the mind and the planet of expansion. positively this can support communication, positive thinking and an opening up of our minds! but due to jupiter's difficulty with limitation or restriction we can also go over the top with idealistic, pollyanna-esq thinking and not be grounded in reality- so be aware.
the day ends with venus in aries contraparallel saturn in libra at 4:36pm, creating an energetic opposition between the goddess of Love and beauty and the god of karma, limitation and responsibility. these two will tensely aspect each other by degree next sunday (3/4) so this energy is in effect for the next week. a sense of restriction, inhibition, limitation and even depression can come up around relationships and finances right now. we are being asked to deal with reality in situations that are dire and/or severely imbalanced. with the polarity of aries and libra activated there can be issues of me versus we, conflict versus compromise, assertiveness versus passive-aggression, defined sense of self versus a sense of Unity. pay attention to any disparity you see today and know that the next week is going to be about dealing with it. the longer you put it off/avoid it- the harder it gets!
sunday february 26th-
there are only two aspects today and they involve the sun in pisces. the sun contraparallels venus in aries at 1:02am and parallels saturn in libra at 1:05pm. yesterday venus aspected saturn by declination and next sunday they will aspect by degree- so the venus/saturn aspect is definitely a key feature of this weekend and the entire week that follows. with the sun activating both of these planets today we are being asked to consciously look at and see what is up for us right now in relationships and financial situations. dealing with reality is a must! denial, avoidance and idealistic thinking will only dig us deeper into karmic situations that need to be restructured and/or thrown out all together so that something new can be rebuilt in its place. saturn demands that we do things with integrity and impeccability- so looking at our path of Self-mastery and being honest with ourselves about where we are off our game is necessary for us to make the changes we need to make right now. if over the coming week you feel a lingering sense of depression- know that this, too, shall pass. go deep into the feelings to see where the root lies and what needs to be done about it. oftentimes depression is anger turned inward- so expressing that anger, defining boundaries and taking action can be antidotes to depression that turn that energy into something positive.
the week ends on an intense note- but intensity is the alchemical fire that is turning us from rocks into diamonds! hindsight is 20/20 but with astrology you can see into the future so that you can consciously move through the energies instead of getting dragged by them.
